CAMBODIA

Cambodians Soy Sen, Pech Sopha and Meas Somoun decided to create a video about the lack of working water wells in their village. The students carried the iPad2 and tripod by bicycles in their backpacks to their village and shot for 3 hours over a 2 day period. Recording without any accompanying adults or foreigners allowed them to capture footage that gives a unfiltered look into their community. They captured, edited and narrated the footage entirely on the iPad2.

Sixteen year old Cambodian Chun Chansoknary and two of her classmates created this video to show her daily life. Follow Nary from the time she awakes in the morning, until she blows the candle out at night. Student and Camera Man Pov Rathmony impressively captures Nary’s bike ride to school from his own bicycle! (Recorded on a Canon Powershot; Edited on iMovie)

Seventeen year old Cambodian Soun Sathy and three of his classmates created this video to show his life and explain his dream of becoming a computer teacher. Follow Sathy through his day as he cooks, cleans, teaches, studies and works on his XO computer. (Video recorded on a Konica Camera; Edited by students on iMovie; Voice Recording on iPhone4 Voice Memo App; Audio added and synced in Final Cut Express by Diana Gross.)
