Thanks for the positive feedback for the students on their video and story telling skills. I have returned to Siem Reap for another workshop and will show your blog to them at school this afternoon! It will mean a lot to them that someone in Phnom Penh noticed them!

What a wonderful blog of a teaching experience. Thank you to the teacher. I am one of the teachers (with Ann Wiener) who taught the power point / photo project a year ago. It is wonderful to see how these students have progressed -- how their English has improved and how skilled they are at video production. Bravo to all of you.

A lot of the time, this work is just banging a drum slowly. Then every once in a while something amazing happens, something just releases! :)
The energy that comes from that is so precious. Thank you for being the kind of person that could coax them out and let them dare to speak, think for themselves, create. I was honored to be around while all this was happening and am looking forward to seeing them reap the rewards of it as we move forward.

I'll be busy linking this post to the PLF site to this as soon as I get off this river, if that's okay with you.
